August is grief awareness month. Despite time passing, grief can still appear new and present, if you know anyone experiencing grief reach out to them and let them know you’re here; no matter how long it’s been. Don’t be shy! Really reach out and offer your love, even in a small way. Grief may never go away, but it will transform radically and beautifully because the pain of grief is an echo of love, a love that is undying, gentle, and true. “And when great souls die, after a period peace blooms, slowly and always irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed. They existed. We can be. Be and be better. For they existed.”-Maya Angelou
