With muscle-release techniques, the smallest details can change everything. A lot of people learn these movements from very short videos, and when you only see a few seconds, it’s easy to copy the movement without understanding which structure you’re actually supposed to be working with. This technique is for the sternocleidomastoid (SCM), not simply the skin on top of it. You need to identify the muscle correctly, understand where it runs, and make sure your fingers are actually working with the SCM. Otherwise, you can repeat the movement every day while completely missing the purpose of the technique. And this applies to so many facial and neck techniques. A few centimeters, a different direction, or grabbing the wrong layer can turn it into something completely different. So please watch this video several times, slow it down, and pay attention to exactly what I’m holding before you practice. Save it so you can come back and check your technique. 🩷 And tell me in the comments: which face or neck technique are you still unsure whether you’re doing correctly? I’ll explain it next.
