7 years into my fitness journey & I’m still growing🫶🏼 You can know how to train, how to eat, how to program, and what you “should” be doing… but sometimes being so close to your own journey makes it hard to see where you could be doing better. For years I built my physique on my own, and I’m SO proud of that. But I also spend so much of my time pouring into other people, creating, working, and juggling life that I realized I wanted someone to pour that same level of attention into ME. Someone to take the thinking out of it. Someone to look at me objectively, hold me accountable, challenge me, teach me, and push me past the point where I might’ve stopped on my own. And I think there’s something really powerful about allowing yourself to become the student again, even in something you’ve been doing for years. There’s ALWAYS another level to learn, grow & improve. 9 weeks later and the biggest lesson hasn’t been some secret exercise or perfect diet… it’s been the basics, done consistently. Training with intention, eating enough of the right foods, prioritizing protein, staying prepared, getting my movement in & still allowing myself to LIVE. Sometimes I fall short but I try my best to come back and continue the plan. Also discipline and balance can exist at the same time. vacation, a meal, an imperfect day sometimes doesn’t erase weeks of consistency. you just get back to it. The goal was never perfection. Just more intention, more structure, more consistency…
