what words can i say? in january of this year i recorded an album to try to pay honor to all the ways this extraordinary human being changed my life. today, on the eve of a lunar eclipse - that album is out in the world. 8.28.26 starting when i was 7 years old, when he cast me in the role of Alia in his original DUNE - i have been on the receiving end of so many lessons, lovingly and effortlessly imparted. over 4 decades, 4 times working together and countless conversations and moments that are imprinted upon my very being. to my astonishment - when he passed away in january 2025, those moments and lessons continued. thru transcendental meditation - which david practiced 2x a day every day for his entire life since the 1970s - i felt his gentle and unmistakable presence, consistently and full of certainty. with humor, and in turns of phrase that were definitely not my own.
