Trump inherited the closest trade relationship on earth. He’s setting it on fire. The tariff war we are in with Canada is counterproductive The US slapped 50% tariffs on roughly 20 billion dollars of Canadian goods. Canada hit back. Starting September 8th, tariffs of 15 to 50% on over 700 American products, doubling duties on US steel and aluminum to match us dollar for dollar. From constantly referring to Canada as the 51st state to him renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America by executive order Trump seems to be doing anything to provoke our closely ally and trade partner. Doug Ford just said the quiet part out loud. “We’re gonna hit the red states hard.” That’s a country that’s done being polite about a trade war it never asked for. America doesn’t exist in a vacuum and isn’t the center of the world. Canada isn’t scared of America and the world can operate fine without us. and this is what that looks like. 🇨🇦🇺🇸 #canada #usa #tariffs #dougford #energy
