With my first child, I completely neglected my needs as a mother because I had so much anxiety with leaving my infant son with anyone other than me. So now with my daughter I vowed to do more for me- so that my children could have a more regulated, happy parent. But what resulted with that vow was even better. I was given the gift of having some lovely women owned businesses who not only welcomed, but encouraged me to bring my infant to my sessions so that I did not have to worry about pumping or finding childcare or racing out the door to make it home for a feed. My child had everything they needed and I got to do some serious pampering for myself.
